Information on Summer Camps, 2008 WYSA does not run any summer camps; however, we will post information on summer soccer camps here as we receive them from other organizations.2008 Revolution Academy Player Development Program Waterville (ME) June 23rd - 26th 5:00 - 8:00pm North Street Fields Philosophy The New England Revolution Academy’s Player Development Program's goal is to become the leader of youth development in Major League Soccer. The Academy will foster the development of youth soccer in New England by enhancing skills, mastering techniques and providing for a greater awareness and insight into the game. The Player Development Programs have designed innovative, challenging, age appropriate and skill specific curriculums for all training programs, encouraging a higher level of confidence that builds enthusiasm, passion and a continued love for the game of soccer. Programs: Player Development Program – For Developmental, Travel & Select Players aged 7 - 16 All players are placed in age & ability appropriate groups with the emphasis on technical development. For all young players soccer is about mastering the fundamentals of the game and developing the necessary skills, the result of the game is secondary. The main purpose of any Player Development Program training session is to teach players the fundamentals of the game of soccer, with emphasis on a learning process that is characterized by repetition. While the overall object of Revolution Academy is to develop the next generation of professional players for the New England Revolution, our Player Development Program serves a broader base of players. These programs educate young players on the game itself and inspires them to be the best players they can be. Players will receive 12 hours of professional instruction from the Player Development Program coaches. Cost $175 per player.
